It is commonly used in the anticorrosion of elbow. The general anticorrosion process includes the following steps:
1、 Use a grinder, wire brush or sand blasting tools to smooth, clean and remove rust on the surface to be protected. If it is used for joint patching, sand the outer protective layer at both ends.
2、 Preheat the surface of the steel pipe to about 70 ℃, then heat the inner layer of the heat shrinkable winding tape with low fire until it completely melts, and then quickly stick it on the surface of the steel pipe.
3、 Heat the heat shrinkable winding tape with the overlap of no less than 50 mm while lining it with hot melt adhesive.
4、 After winding, heat the heat shrinkable winding tape with low fire, press out the bubble with pressure roller while heating, until the hot melt adhesive overflows at the edge and lap of the heat shrinkable winding tape.
5、 The end of the heat shrinkable winding tape should be pasted firmly, and it should be flattened with a pressure roller while heating. If it is used for joint patching, the lap joint between the heat shrinkable winding tape and the outer sheath shall not be less than 80mm.
Note: the width of the heat shrinkable wraparound sleeve: 125px for the pipe less than dia.150mm and 250px for the pipe less than dia.300mm. Generally, it is not recommended to use wider heat shrinkable winding tape for small pipes, because it is easy to form a bell mouth when overlapping and winding, which can not achieve good anti-corrosion effect. Therefore, the width of the heat shrinkable winding tape must be determined according to the pipe diameter.
