Traditional production of PERT and PEXA flexible insulation pipes relies on a two step process, which involves scattered operations, low efficiency, high energy consumption, and poor product consistency—making it inadequate for the growing demands of district heating network expansion.
The one step technology has long been monopolized by European and American manufacturers. Qingdao Huashida, in collaboration with Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Qingdao University of Technology, and Qingdao University of Science and Technology, has successfully developed a high end intelligent one step production line for PERT/PEXA flexible insulation pipes. This equipment features an original flow coating insulation guide sizing technology that integrates multiple operations—inner pipe conveying, corona treatment, polyurethane continuous pouring, and sheath overlap wrapping—into a single station, enabling continuous one pass composite forming. This breakthrough completely eliminates intermittent production and fills a domestic gap in high end intelligent one step equipment.
The production line has been widely adopted both in China and abroad. Actual production data from users show that, compared with traditional two step lines, overall efficiency increases by 20 50%, energy consumption drops by 15 25%, labor input is reduced by 40%. Huashida’s innovation provides a reliable and cost effective domestic alternative for municipal heating pipeline infrastructure projects.
