Targeting Industry Pain Points to Drive Technical Innovation
With the advancement of underground pipeline renovation and sponge-city initiatives, demand for HDPE/PP double-wall corrugated pipes keeps growing across municipal sewerage, high-standard farmland irrigation, fresh-air ventilation systems and other sectors. High-end double-wall corrugated pipe production equipment has long been confronted with practical challenges including high procurement investment, long lead times, as well as limitations in energy-consumption control and mould-change efficiency.
As a “Specialized, Refined, Differential & Innovative” enterprise with multiple products certified as Shandong Province’s First-Set Major Technical Equipment, Huashida carries out industry-university-research cooperation with institutions such as Qingdao University of Science and Technology for continuous improvements on the sealed pressurized water-cooling sizing technology. This upgrade focuses on optimizations for three core areas: energy- and material-saving extrusion, production throughput, and line flexibility.

Dual Improvements in Energy-material Conservation and Production Performance
1. Notable Energy and Material Savings
Huashida’s HDPE/PP double-wall corrugated pipe line adopts buffered forced feeding together with grooved-barrel single-screw technology, delivering substantial energy reduction for the main drive motor compared with conventional models. Meanwhile, the I-shaped double-wall structure of HDPE/PP corrugated pipes cuts raw-material consumption versus solid-wall pipes of equivalent dimensions. These process-level improvements support manufacturers in energy conservation and carbon reduction, complying with requirements for low-carbon energy use and high-efficiency resource utilization laid out in General Principles for Green Factory Evaluation (2025 Edition).
2. High Production Efficiency and Flexible Multi-specification Compatibility
Taking Φ200 mm pipes as an example, the line maintains a stable production speed of around 4.2 m/min with sustainable capacity potential. Equipped with circumferential continuously-sealed pressurized water-cooling sizing technology, together with in-line belling and quick-change module functions, one single line can produce pipes covering Φ50 mm to Φ1600 mm. It simplifies manufacturing workflows, enhances process stability, enables broad diameter coverage and fast specification switching, and brings substantial gains in overall production performance.
Pipe Performance and Diverse Application Scenarios
Pipes produced on this line feature an I-shaped double-wall structure. While guaranteeing ring-stiffness performance, the pipes have robust structural stability and outstanding compression resistance. Weighing only oneeighth of concrete pipes, they offer excellent resistance to acid, alkali and salt corrosion, with an underground service life of more than 50 years. Flexible joints accommodate groundsubsidence deformation. The pipes are widely applied in municipal rainsewage diversion, integrated underground pipe networks, highway drainage and seepage control, farmland water conservancy, freshair ventilation systems, as well as protective conduits for power and communication cables, serving as a highquality alternative to traditional piping products.
