An invention patent for Huashida’s steel pipe pickling phosphatizing device was published on May 15, 2026. This adds another proprietary technology to Huashida’s portfolio for steel pipe anti corrosion equipment and marks further progress in completing its full process anti corrosion equipment offering.
Pickling and phosphatizing constitute a critical pre treatment step prior to anti corrosion coating for steel pipes. A phosphate conversion film forms over the pipe surface after phosphatizing treatment. Without this protective film following rust removal, re rusting will occur and re descaling must be performed within four hours. With a qualified phosphatized film in place, secondary rust removal is generally unnecessary. However, inconsistent film thickness caused by inadequate pre treatment will directly impair adhesion of subsequent anti corrosion coatings and undermine finished pipe quality stability.
To address this industry pain point, Huashida’s R&D team carried out targeted technical development. First, a pickling tank dissolves and removes mill scale, rust, oil, grease and other surface contaminants to deliver a clean substrate for downstream processes. Next, inside the phosphatizing tank, phosphate based solutions chemically react with the steel surface to generate a dense, well adhered phosphate conversion layer. This film greatly improves the pipe’s corrosion resistance, wear resistance and bonding performance for overlying coating systems. High pressure alkaline cleaning is deployed as a pre treatment stage within this workflow for its proven effectiveness in removing stubborn contaminants and enhancing subsequent treatment performance.
