On October 13, the Mountains-Sea Meeting · Yulin Future — 2026 Yulin-Qingdao Economic Cooperation Forum, hosted by Yulin Municipal People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, was held in Qingdao. Yulin is an energy hub and resource-based industrial base in western China, while Qingdao serves as an open coastal city, foreign trade port and advanced manufacturing center. The match between Yulin’s industrial demands and Qingdao’s industrial strengths unlocks huge potential for cross-regional industrial cooperation.
Qingdao Huashida Machinery Co., Ltd. was invited to the forum as a representative manufacturing enterprise of east-west industrial integration. Huashida has obtained 5 certifications for Shandong Provincial First-set Major Technical Equipment, more than 50 patents and software copyrights, and runs an expert workstation for high-end plastic machinery. It holds core technology advantages in intelligent pipe manufacturing and green anti-corrosion coating processes, laying solid foundations for technology transfer to western China.
For Huashida, east-west collaboration is far more than simple production relocation; it is the integrated coordination of R&D, manufacturing, resources and markets. In 2024, Huashida rolled out its dual-cycle strategy: expanding business into western China while exploring global markets. Leveraging Qingdao’s advantages in R&D, technology and capital, together with raw material resources and industrial supporting capacity in the mid-west, Huashida established Yulin Huajian Pipeline Co., Ltd. in Jingbian County, Yulin, Shaanxi.
With rich chemical raw materials and complete infrastructure, Yulin is an ideal destination for advanced manufacturing transformation. Since launch in August 2024, the Yulin base has achieved total investment of RMB 16 million and generated industrial output value of RMB 35 million. It participates in key local heating pipeline projects, boosting local employment and tax revenue, and realizes win-win outcomes for enterprises and local government.
The company adopts a clear division of work: Qingdao undertakes technical breakthrough and solution development (from 0 to 1), while the Yulin base handles mass production and market development across Northwest China (from 1 to N). This model optimizes production cost, delivery cycle and local service response speed. Instead of regarding western China merely as a low-cost production base, Huashida builds it as a high-value growth hub.
Beyond domestic expansion, Huashida keeps exploring overseas blue-ocean markets amid fierce industrial competition. Huang Baodong introduced that the company’s current pending orders reach RMB 150 million, covering UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries. Supported by the Yulin manufacturing base in Northwest China, Huashida’s pipeline equipment exports to the Middle East, Central Asia and Russia, and overseas business has become a core growth driver.
From R&D labs in Qingdao to production lines in Jingbian, from Central Asian pipeline projects to Middle East orders, Huashida’s practice shows that modern manufacturing competition relies on the combined capacity of technology, manufacturing and global market layout. At the forum, Huang Baodong held in-depth discussions with Yulin government officials and local leading enterprises to explore further cooperation opportunities.

This forum reflects the logic of national east-west industrial coordination. Huashida’s strategy of western expansion and global export offers a valuable reference for Chinese manufacturers trapped in homogenized competition. Rather than competing fiercely in the red ocean, enterprises can build new competitive advantages at the intersection of resources and global markets.
